Electronic Waste commonly referred to as E-Waste, is a growing problem in today’s society.

E-waste poses many health and environment problems if disposed improperly due to the hazardous materials that are contained in E-waste such as lead, mercury and cadmium.

It is apparent that e-waste disposal is a ticking toxic time-bomb that, if not handled properly today, will come back to haunt us tomorrow.

The positive side to this is that most commodities found in e-waste, whether it be a computer, printer, monitor or television, can be properly recycled and disposed. By allowing old electronics to end up in landfill sites, we are only adding to the growing problem of improper electronics disposal.

Materials like steel, glass, copper, aluminum, plastic and precious metals are perpetuating the need to mine for new raw materials when we could be utilizing the recycled materials from e-waste.
